UPDATE 1/1/2010 Due to the eBay policy preventing negative feedback for bad buyer performance. Checking for negative feedback received by buyers is no longer an effective method for verifying posts here. I recommend that you use the tools available at: Toolhaus.org to check for negative feedback left by the buyer in question. You will often see that many of the buyers listed here have established a pattern of leaving multiple negative or neutral feedback ratings. Decide for yourself if you want to do business with them.
Google is also a very useful tool. You can do a Google search for a potential buyer's eBay ID. If the Google search brings you here you know someone has had a bad experience.
HOW TO BLOCK BAD BUYERS:
If you know that you don't want to sell to certain eBay members, you can put them on your blocked list. Members on that list will not be able to bid on any of your listings until you remove them from the list. You can block up to 5000 User IDs.
To add a member to your blocked list:
Go to the Blocking a bidder/buyer page.
Enter the User IDs of the eBay members you wish to block in the text box.
Click the Submit button.

Update 7/20/2013 Wow this blog has been running for over five years and is one of the most popular of it's kind. Ebay has consistently made it more difficult and expensive to sell on their site. We have seen many honest sellers fall to the wayside. Do your best to treat your buyers right. A small percentage will try to game the system. Report thieves to ebay and list their ID's here. Left one negative and one neutral feedback anyway. Then one month later left 2 more neutrals. Should have let this case go to Paypal claims because I never got my items back and NO help from EBay at all. She damaged my DSR's. Basically got 4 items for free and ruined my ratings. Check her feedback left for others to see how many negatives and neutrals she leaves for others. I have never complained about a buyer yet and have been on EBay for years.

Ebay should be sued the way they absolutely rape (there's no better word) sellers by treating them as second class citizens with very little to no rights. Buyers can lie on feedback, extort anything they want from us. Our policies mean nothing (and I have PLENTY of examples which I won't get into here b/c it'll just be too long). It's absolutely disgusting. I can't even begin to say some of the things that buyers have done to me ruining my feedback with lies and false accusations just because they didn't get their way or I didn't go against my policies (or ebay's policies for that matter) for them; and what does Ebay say to this? "We can't change the feedback because 'the buyer is entitled to their opinion' " Even if their opinion is an outright lie that I can prove??? That's right! Let's not forget that we, as sellers HAVE NO RIGHT TO RATE BUYERS ANYTHING UNDER A POSITIVE. Unfrigginbelievable. The only thing we can do; and why there should be so many more sites like this online is share the blocked buyers lists among ourselves. It's our only defense. We have to help eachother since Ebay won't help us. I tried to start a topic on this in the Ebay forum and don't you know, they knocked it right out. I tried to start a facebook chat about this, but no one responded. Oh yes; we can respond to feedback - and then guess what? The buyer gets the last word! They can respond to what we say last. If that's not an example of what I'm saying, then nothing is. Not to mention the way they grade us. I have literally thousands of glowing feedback from thousands of happy customers and what do they do? Take away my selling privileges for a month because out of the 800 I sold in a quarter 10 thought my shipping was too high! Are they kidding? What Ebay fails to realize; and hopefully one day it'll come back to bite them in the ass, is that WITHOUT GOOD SELLERS, YOU HAVE NO BUYERS!! Keep treating sellers like this and eventually, they will pay for it. I'm as disgusted as I can possibly be about this. All that being said, I GLADLY share with you my blocked buyers list and hope that people will read this and do the same. Feel free to contact me at any time about this. I am not sure if any of you have run across these two
evil buyers. They are purchasing items and leaving
negative feedback out of spite. The first
one is mctim77 he bought and received exactly what he
ordered, but was unhappy with it. I asked him to
return for a refund (which he would have gotten)
but instead he just left nasty negative feedback after
trying to extort a refund from me. this is his reply:

The day after I copied and pasted a couple of "bad buyer" id's, I had an email from a woman who wanted to know why she couldn't buy from me. I checked out feedback she'd left for others and had the pleasure of telling her she was BLOCKED!!! Of course, she went berserko and tried to get me in trouble w/ebay but couldn't. Thank you guys. Keep it up as I will. We have to protect ourselves. We can't leave neg. feedback for buyers and they are allowed to walk all over us w/lies, extortion.....whatever they wish and Ebay lets them. Here's my list. Most are NPBs. The "flight" ids belong to an intermediary service that allows overseas buyers to have items shipped to US addresses and then have the item forwarded. They've got a bad rep for losing items and filing SNADs long after the item was shipped. They try to stick sellers with the damage that occurs on the second leg of shipping to the buyer, after they've opened and repacked the item.

Moron blamed us and neg feedback was left stating that the item doesn't work while it does. All simply because he's too stupid to do a simple research on google before he bought the unit. Yep, this is eBay, where sellers got all the blame and buyers got all the glories for all their stupidity and being jerks.

Hmm for another $6 on the item that cost $11.99 shipped? Do the calculation, plus eBay fees and all that.

If they left these comments in the Ebay email system. Report them to ebay. Cut and paste their comments to your report. Ebay MAY do something.

It works, just a little too late unfortunately after one of us sellers got screwed by these scumbags.
eBay called me yesterday telling about special offers, how to save money and asking why haven't you opened a store, I replied, simply because eBay sucks bad right now for sellers, then I went on and on giving the lady on the phone a lecture about how sucky it is to be a seller right now on eBay.
Their system has to be changed, they can't be greedy always and keep pointing thumbs up to dishonest buyers, screwing honest sellers.
You do not know how many times buyers exchanged my products with their own, returned them, filed disputes, and eBay just refunded their money right away. That's just bull.
Not to sure how to add to your list of blocked ebay buyers. What a great idea, to help inform other ebay sellers of people that our trouble and bad buyers. Can you please let me know hot to add buyers to this list.

5xmom12345 is a total deadbeat, they won auction on Feb 28, 2011 and won't pay, won't respond to non-paying bidder case, won't respond to emails. Just as sellers are blocked from listing when they don't pay their listing fees, deadbeats should be blocked from bidding until they pay for the auctions they've already bid on!

Copy and paste my dear. It's that simple. Yes; it is a great idea. Ebay does NOTHING to protect sellers. WE are at the mercy of the buyers so we have to protect ourselves and eachother. What Ebay seems to forget is that without good sellers, THEY'D HAVE NO BUYERS!! Here's my list and trust me every one of these ebayers has caused me hell. You'd be smart to block them. We have to unite as sellers and protect ourselves and eachother.

ebay scammer. this dirt bag is going to pay. he messed with the wrong person.
I have another scammer but dont want to reveal id yet because he could give me negative. I knew before he paid for the item that he was a scammer because all the feedback he left involved thanking sellers for refunding him for his item lost in mail. I sent him the item without insurance because item was pretty cheap. predictably, he contacted me today that he did not receive item. further research shows he has a whole bunch of ebay businesses which involve harvesting phone numbers . he even has a company that purports to fight telemarketers but people are reporting that that is a scam too harvest phone numbers.
if he gives me a positive after i refund him, should i report him to ebay?

Absolutely! And make sure you list his ID here. Report his scams to the Attorney general of the state where he operates as well.
The vast majority of buyers and sellers are are honest people. The small minority of thieves like this guy hurt us all.
Do you have tracking on the item?
How about vigilant justice for scammers? To me it is theft. They should be hunted down. A lot of them are on facebook . Let their friends and family know. Pick out a scammer a day and buy something cheap from them. Report them to the police. over and over and over. they likely do other criminal things. stay 100 percent anonymous. dont say a thing to give them a clue that you going after them.

You are so right. It IS downright illegal but I'm seeing it from the sellers side. People who purchase from us and then lie about something being wrong or "not as described" w/the item in order to get their money back WITHOUT returning it. Then, when you don't give them what they want, they give you negative feedback. That happens OFTEN to me and Ebay does NOTHING to protect us from it. That's why we sellers NEED this forum.

Well noted, thanks for taking the time to post your problem buyers. Maybe if they started being blocked by more sellers, they'd cut the crap. That's how they learn. So all of you who read this, please take the time and post your blocked buyers here. It's doing every single seller a service, including yourself.
It helps just a tiny bit, it doesn't prevent those blocked buyers to open another account and do the same thing again unfortunately.
They're pricks, they know how to work the stupid eBay system.
The real problem lies with eBay, the money hogger, they letting buyers do whatever they want with no penalty.
Usual situation:
1. Pricks get stuff.
2. Pricks got stuff, complains, open disputes.
3. Pricks return items (usually no longer in the same state / totally different / exchange with their own products)
4. Pricks left negative feedback.
5. Sellers sent cancellation form to get the final value fees back.
6. Pricks not responding / don't want to cancel the auction.
7. eBay got all the money. Tada !

This one said that the auction didn't have shipping cost, it does not. Then he said he got invoiced for $5 more than he was paying for, not sure how, then he said he already made the payment.

He contacted eBay support, and support contacted us stating this guy want to cancel transaction.

Avoid eBay user sardaempate from Spain. This user ended my listing and didn't pay because of a technical error, but he never contacted me about the problem. I asked him to pay, but he responded that he went to another seller and purchased a similar item. He then proceeded to ask me for another item (which I didn't have) without apologizing for the inconvenience he caused. As a courtesy, I canceled the transaction and he agreed to the cancellation. Three weeks later, he leaves negative feedback with a comment in Spanish about how he cannot comment because he didn't buy. I asked him to revise the feedback, since he didn't pay and I was nice enough not to file an unpaid item case against him. He refused. His negative feedback was removed by eBay. Do not sell to this buyer--he doesn't understand how eBay works, doesn't speak English, and has zero emotional intelligence. If he bids on or buys your item and doesn't pay, do not cancel the transaction. File an unpaid item case against him.

I had my second bad buyer on ebay. She is called blueeyeblonde327. She purchased a steamer off of me on Sept 20 2011. 10 days latter she emails me and tells me that it streaks her floors. I told her that she is letting the pad get to wet. A few days latter she sends me another email and tells me that trigger does not work. I knew she was about to call foul. She did she filed a claim with ebay and said it was not as described as it did not work. She shipped it back and right out of the box I plugged it in and added water. Would you not know it worked like new. She abused the buyer protection policy in place. All someone has to say is it is not as described even if it is and Ebay will give their money back. I did some research and found two days prior she purchased a different steamer off of someone. She was testing the two out to see which one she wanted and would call foul to have the other returned. I happened to be that unlucky seller. She did not even send it back in the original box so I have no way of repackaging and selling again. Block her or you maybe next.

Apparently these guys buying stuff from eBay to fulfill their order IN their website.
While it's ok and all that, but when aztekpc bought an OPEN BOX item and their customer in reality bought a BRAND NEW item at HIGHER PRICE charged in their website, that's where the problem starts.
Got a report from THEIR customer:
"Hello I am writing in regards to item # . This was purchased by
a company called Aztek Computers out of Texas. I bought the camera off their website for a lot more than you had this listed.They had it listed as a brand new and in stock on their website, and they bought an open box item from you and shipped me that instead of a brand new one. On top of that I
paid for expedited 2-3 day hipping and they had you ship it ground, So I am disputing the charge from my credit card complany because they refuse to
return my calls. I'm just giving you a heads up on what happening. I may just send it back to you but I feel I shouldn't have to pay the shipping."
This is where it gets irritating, now the customer's behavior leaning towards blaming us for this matter, while aztekpc is the one they should blame in the first place.
Regarding aztekpc You sold the item to them not their customer. If I were you I would not communicate with the customer. You made the deal with aztekpc not a second party that purchased the item from them. If aztekpc's customer does a charge back it should not affect you.
Incidentally, aztekpc has a 97.5% feedback apparently their off the wall drop shipping scheme isn't working out too well.

You should avoid lylamarie83 and amyc3952 . Offered both full refunds when they asked to return items but opened cases in order to try to keep items. amyc3952 destroyed the item that she sent back to me and lylamarie83's seller replies to feedback left for others indicates that she does this a lot. Apparently many people have reported her.

old_weird_stuff is a horrible buyer who purchases for re-sale and is so abusive of other sellers. He buys items holds them tries to re-sell them on eBay then when they do not sell he uses the BPP to return the items sometimes as long as 5 weeks after purchase. He uses FB extortion to force the seller to pay round trip shipping for his sport shopping habits. His feedback to other sellers is spiteful. Dealing with this jerk is like being mugged. Avoid!!!!

Buyer made immediate payment and I shipped her item the next day. A few days later Paypal sent me an email stating that her payment was "reversed" and therefore the money has been taken out from my account! I tried to contact her 5 times with no response. If you look at her feedback, she is keeping it "private" so that nobody can see what others left - which tells me this buyer has been scamming sellers for a long time now. Buyers like that - those who take advantage of sellers just because they can't leave negative feedback - should not be allowed on ebay. It's just so wrong!

Claimed (wrongly) that he sent repeated Emails, that item was fake, and that we refused to work things out. He told all of these lies to Ebay. Possible extorter. All of this was done 25 days after delivery of the item.

I from Germany, after auction ends i offered him the uninsured and insured mail. He decide the uninsured and paid via Paypal on 23th of December. I send out on 24th December. Only 3 days after Christmas he told Ebay that he didn´t recieve the item. And cause he paid via PayPal, Pay Pal put the money on hold another 4 days later. I write PayPal all of the case incl. the bill from Mailoffice for buying the shipping to Spain. Yesterday PayPal decided for him. The money has gone back. Terms of PayPal: If you got money for an item via Paypal the seller have to send the package insured.
He decide uninsured shipping by paying me only uninsured shipping rate. I do all he wants to do and now I lost my item, the shipping cost, Ebay fees and surely he will leave a negative feedback.

wickenheiser16 .... After agreeing to my item I showed her through email after she bidded (I wanted to give a more detailed photograph of her item) she agreed to have it sent to her. She showed me the item broke in the most oddest place which seems impossible to break in by the way it was packaged (it broke where it was most padded). She didn't purchase insurance, in fact it looked chopped on BOTH sides instead of 'broken'. She constantly yells, emotionally abuses me, tells me I should NEVER sell on ebay as i'm a disgrace and keeps sending requests for me to pay MORE than the item costed in itself with crazy anger management issues. She keeps reporting me and harassing ebay and sending blame at me- taking no responsibility in her actions. Why should I lose out more money to this angry person who would force blame on anything that went wrong? She should purchase insurance if she's concerned, and the item can easily be fixed with the glue I recommended, mind you she was somehow 'offended' by my offer to help her fix it so there'd be no problem. It makes me want to use something other than ebay to sell.
